Life Like Films is an ongoing collaboration between Todd Herman and Francis Kohler, visual artists living in San Francisco, California. Many of our films look at the lives of people with disabilities. They are structured according to emotions and imaginations rather than events; intentionally blurring the lines of fiction and fact. There are no heroes in our films and there is nothing sensational in them. Relationships and outcomes are intentionally left ambiguous. Time populates the frame as often as people do. Our films look to the disregarded beauty and mystery of everyday life and to some of the inner and outer conditions of those pictured in them. |
